Pool Readiness FAQ

1. What is Pool Readiness?

Pool Readiness is a passive income service that, by grouping your energy assets into a virtual power plant, allows you to earn a fee for being ready to help stabilize the power grid. Pool Readiness is available for KratTrade Flex-service users.

Pool Readiness generates revenue via participation in the capacity market and providing availability guarantees. This income is shared among all customers enrolled in the service. MarkeDroid determines the specific timing and volume of these availability offers.

2. How does Pool Readiness differ from the Flex-service?

The Flex-service pays you when your battery responds to grid commands, such as charging or discharging. Pool Readiness earns income for the battery's readiness to respond to these commands even when no Flex commands exist. These services work in parallel, and you earn income from both.

3. How much can I earn, and how are earnings calculated?

Typically, Pool Readiness income amounts to 10–50% of your Flex-service earnings.

As with the Flex-service, a service fee is deducted from the total, and VAT applies to private customers.

Example: If your monthly Flex income is €200, your Pool Readiness income would likely be between €20 and €100.

Please note: Income from both Flex and Pool Readiness is difficult to predict precisely and may vary significantly from month to month or even day to day.

Your earnings are based on your connection point's capacity and your battery size. To qualify for the fee, your device must be operational. You will not earn fees for days when:
- The device is offline (no internet connection).
- Inverter settings within the MarkeDroid app are set as "Stop control" or "Full stop."
- There is a technical fault or the battery temperature is outside the required range.
- The device is otherwise unable to respond to commands.

4. Tracking and Receiving Payments

Estimated income for the current month is visible in the Dashboard.

Note: Presently, Pool Readiness earnings are updated once a month after data verification with KratTrade. We are working towards a solution that shows your estimated earnings on the Dashboard more often.

Final amounts are confirmed at the start of the following month after data verification with KratTrade. The fee is added to your shared balance along with your Flex income. You can request payouts according to the standard Flex payout procedure.

5. Is there any financial risk in joining?

Joining Pool Readiness is completely free. There are no hidden costs, and a service fee is only applied to the income you actually earn. You won't lose money by participating in this service.

6. Do I still have control over my battery?

Yes. We do not lock or reserve your battery; it remains fully available for your use. While MarkeDroid may occasionally issue commands to charge or discharge the battery to maintain market-required readiness, these instances are rare and are designed not to interfere with your daily energy consumption.
